Great little theater right in MidCity Baton Rouge off Government St., across Hearthstone St. from Radio Bar. Ample free parking in back. Professionally set backdrop and stage for performers. Comfortable space. No bar. Just the little theater. People are all super friendly. There is a sound system that is fantastic playing tunes during the doors open period before the show that gives the theater a more social lounge feel than a traditional theater setting, which is nice. I came on a Sunday afternoon for their open mic night. It started 1/2 hour after doors opened 4:30p. I brought water bottle to drink. Not sure about BYOB. Decent crowd for a place and event with little to no advertising. Six comedians and the Host were set to perform. However, being Open Mic, two other performers showed up. All 9 performers were incredible! Jeremy hosted. Very experienced sounding performer, host and comedian. Kudos. Dana, the lovely single struggling mom, was hilarious, down to her attire and hair! Spencer, homeschooled- Pride celebrating dad of two had a fabulously witty take on life. Benny, nailed the apathetic yet dotting spouse with the Shedding Dog Crisis pushing her marriage to the brink, all while poking fun at her wife, who showed up and sat front row. Derrick, from Mississippi, wearing the tightly curbed billed baseball cap was incredible. Everything he said, coupled with his facial expressions and body language, communicated a vulnerable genuine person ripping playfully. Everyone, including Sam and Cassie(?) I think I wrote her name down wrong and I'm sorry!) were funny too! The incredible talent here is on display at Boomerang Theater in MidCity! Love that the city finally has a comedy club and comedians developing. Good job, Baton Rouge! It is super fun!

We loved this place! Definitely a hidden gem! Fish tahco and you're invited performed and did NOT disappoint!! We didn't stop laughing. We will definitely be back for other shows. This was our first improv show and we were very impressed with everything. Everyone is friendly.

We had my Bachelorette party there and I highly recommend having tour private improve there. All the comedians were so great and the whole show was made around my husband and I. Couldn't recommend a better experience!!

Very quaint. Good vibe and quality people running it. It's a BYOB place and I was worried it would become trashy (I am a sober person), but it did not. My Husband and I laughed so hard we almost cried. Bring a jacket....its COLD in there.

Cute and cozy! Sometimes it’s cold, so bring a jacket just in case. I love this place for the open mics on Sundays at 5p.

I’ve seen a lot of comedy shows and the very first one I saw at Boomerang was better than much of what I saw in Los Angeles! Seriously impressed by the talent here. I’ve since come back a couple times and consistently they have new shows that are all super funny and fun. The new owners are very present and warm, and the location is perfect.

Had the honor of performing with the owners as they were first dipping their toes in the water learning standup/improv. Very excited to see them with their own club to truly deliver comedy in line with their down-to-earth style and amazing personalities! Baton Rouge is in for a treat. This club will be big!
