In-person, I've always had good experiences at their banks and the staff has been helpful. Customer service over the phone has been good, too.

Left 2 stars because their online banking system is "unavailable" ridiculously often. In the past month, all four times I have tried to log into my online banking, I get about halfway through logging in only to be told that the system is down. There is never any further explanation as to why, and it's been really frustrating.

Not enough branches in so-cal so i visited here a few weeks ago. I was approved for a loan and needed to proceed with closing. Was assisted by a Rosie Navarrete and her customer service was EXTREMELY poor. For a member relationship specialist, she requires temperament training. She had a toxic and nasty attitude about working there. Complained about taking a train for 1 hour each way to get there. Her negative attitude and bad body language nearly made me drive 60 miles away to Ontario. Will not be returning to this location again. This lady truly needs an attitude adjustment as she claims to have been here too long. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...HALL OF SHAME!!!

Had it since high school -- I'm not going to UCLA and make silly mistakes all the time. But still, no fees, EVER.

I've over-drafted by hundred of dollars on two occasions (paying rent) and they have covered the overdraft without charging me. I've accidentally re-deposited checks (immediately deposited the correct ones) and they were happy to remove the bounced check charges from my account.

Helpful employees, quick email responses. Love it.

Only downside is there are only two locations in southern California, and even though I live in LA, the trek to Downtown is a pain if I want to speak to a teller. I can go to any credit union ATM though.

Fabulous. Definitely recommend if they're in your area.

Oh, and shoutout for supporting my hometown team. Kings fan for life! Thanks G1. 🙂

This review is not for a specific location but for Golden One Credit Union in General. Their customer service is horrible!! Rude employees! I am a customer who is paying them on time every month and just to get my payment history or basic customer needs, it is like going to in a battle with them. I would NEVER EVER recommend this Credit Union to anyone!! I got stuck with them due to my dealership financing my vehicle through them. I sure now know how they treat their customers and how hard it is to get your basic customer needs tended to. I cannot wait until I have nothing to do with them! SAVE YOURSELF!! Do not agree to contract vehicles with them or bank with them!!

I wish there was an option to not give them any stars. I wish I had seen reviews before signing up for a loan. I got into a car accident and my car was totaled. Gap was asking for statements. I wasn't able to obtain them because I always made payments by phone. Tried to make a account online and gave me an error msg all the time. Tried setting it up with customer service and they couldn't help. I asked for my statement to be mailed and they proceeded by telling me there was a fee of 5 dollars PER PAGE. I wanted to get over the whole thing so I asked for the total of all statements and the total was 30. 5 dollars is too much but 305 is ridiculous. I should be able to obtain my own information. Can't wait to be done with them. They are so quick to take your money but can't help you when needed. They made this processes so difficult. I will be telling friends and family not to ever do any business with this credit union.

Okay service only bank here since my pay is made available the next day or earlier if it happens to be a weekend. They need more branches! The one in Ontario is mostly always crowded and really disappointed when they don't expand their service to the customer that it serves. The downtown LA branch does have an ATM but it's only open during business hours and the tellers there don't accept cash deposits at this particular location so this branch is useless being within a state building that it limitedly serves. I have two credit unions due to certain restrictions that golden 1 has in place and I flex in between the two. Hope this helps to clarify the situation.

They don't protect you at all from fraud,There I had fraud charges I caught them BEFORE they went thru and golden 1s solution was to let them defraud me then make me wait 30-90 days for a resolution. There are no branches anywhere to help you. The "in network" branches offer little to no services.
When you call in the operators could care less about helping you.
They only care about taking your money and couldn't care less about you after they have it.
