I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Showroom Nashville to rent a dress for a charity event, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and genuine enthusiasm by the staff, who made me feel like a VIP.

MEAN GIRLS vibe anyone? I just stopped in yesterday looking for a formal gown for an upcoming gala. When you first walk in, the shop is very aesthetically pleasing. I walked up to counter for assistance and after saying what i was looking for and mentioning my size (14) I was given a point and told " 14 and up gowns are on the racks over there" and pretty much was on my own after that. For something of this nature I would think that someone would be by your side helping, offering opinions, looking for dresses for my figure, etc. There was little selection for sizes 14/16 and there were lots of non plus/curvy sizes in the section where they should not have been. Many of the dresses I looked at/tried on were dirty, holes/tears, missing rhinestones/beads, etc and looking at the prices they were charging for retail and rental for the quality/poor condition some of these pieces were in was laughable. I went to ask another associate for help and she couldn't be bothered. I'm not sure if it was the general vibe of the place to be stuffy and pretentious or if it maybe were due to me not being a size 4. As for someone who has over 15 years of experience on both sides of the retail register, I was super unimpressed and will be taking my money elsewhere. **updated* I went to a small business 10 min up the road and walked in and within 2 minutes my partner was offered a chair in front of the fitting room, and I was handed 4 dresses after asked for color preferences and the lady taking one look at me and knew my sizes instantly. THIS is the service one should expect and I was more than happy to give them my business and RAVE review! 🙂

We are from NJ and were only in the area for 1.5 days on the way to bring our daughter to LSU for her freshman year. As it happens, she realized she needed a cocktail dress for rush week. We stopped into The Showroom after visiting 6 other stores and we are so happy we did! The store is beautifully set up with an extensive selection of stylish, current, and high quality cocktail, party and formal dresses. Many of the dresses can also be rented, which is a fantastic option you don’t usually see. Kristin, the owner, was so helpful and nice despite my daughters and I coming in 20 minutes to closing time. She went above and beyond to help her and to our relief, she ended up finding a perfect dress for the occasion. We could not be happier with our experience. I highly recommend The Showroom and hopefully with have a chance to visit again in the future. Thank you, Kristin - geaux tigers!

It's not much cheaper to rent a formal, but the dresses were hot quality. Once I got some help, the staff was very helpful. There are a lot of different colors styles of dresses.

Such a great experience & this statement comes from someone who doesn’t enjoy shopping & is easily overwhelmed! The store was so inviting & the ladies working the floor were not only lovely but incredibly helpful as well. We did not feel rushed or in the way & this store was packed full of shoppers. So happy to have found this store for my daughters & plan to return again & again!

As much as I would love to say I love the selection of dresses, the owner of this store is rude and unprofessional beyond comprehension. I rented a dress for my 39th birthday and returned it by the return date, noting that there was a piece of feather trim had been pulled off on the train. Fast forward three weeks later, I get a charge for $400 to my card on file, so I called to see if there was a mistake before disputing with my bank. The owner cursed me out saying i "ruined a perfectly good dress beyond repair" and that there were feces and urine on it. There is absolutely no way that is possible, and even if it were, that would have been noticed immediately upon returning it, not weeks later. When I asked why they hadn't contacted me prior, or sent photos or proof, she said because she doesn't have to and how dare I question their "policy". She then proceeded to shout and call me a plethora of explicit names. Not once did I react other than please calm down.

Dresses were dirty and the owner/ head lady ( tall brunette) was drunk as when she helped zip up my dress the smell lingered after she left. It was 11:30 on a Friday afternoon. This is after she told another lady they don't do champagne anymore during the week and are actually out... or is it because she was drinking it. Never once were we asked how things were going or if we needed any assistance.
