The owner, Dan Lewis, called me an a$$hole because I asked to be removed from his marketing list. (copy of the email attached). Unbelievable and completely unprofessional! I used to pay for the monthly subscription but more times than not the information was inaccurate- wrong event dates, and misleading information regarding how many projected attendees (two events listed $25k people and there were not even $2k so a huge disparity with the numbers which is obviously important when choosing between shows). I found that all the information he sells can be reached via the internet on free sites like zapplication and the information is reliable since its not filtered through a 3rd party. Plus, who would want to support a small business owner that is so shockingly disgraceful by calling people names.

**My response to the owners comment: “Rarely do reviewers tell the whole story”….I’ve supplied the emails that clearly substantiate me simply asking to be removed from the marketing list…and indicating that I’ve already clicked the unsubscribe link several times but was still getting the emails. I would think this would warrant a response along the lines of yeah no problem and done- definitely not being cursed at. It’s just shocking quite frankly and the email itself speaks volumes. Even in his response he doesn’t take accountability or even apologize. I mean…at least say you were having a bad day and it’s out of your character…nope…he just deflects and insinuates that im not telling the whole story. All over marketing emails blasts. And btw, I continued receiving them so I just blocked and spammed them.

Newest member of staff Jennifer is very rude especially to offer a service which was never even requested. She might be good at bottle washing but has no customer service skills.

They send out deceptive emails saying you "need" to update information in their database. As an even coordinator, you try to respond to the request with the correct information. They then mail you an invoice for the "service" of updating the event information that they requested.

I probably wouldn't be so mad, if it was not for the way their emails are written to make it seem like action is _required_ from you, rather than honestly presenting their emails as a _sales_ email.
